Innovation continues to expand many sectors in Canada’s market. Through a wide range of programs available to businesses, entrepreneurs and more. The Government of Canada is ensuring southern Alberta remains ambitious in tomorrow’s innovation economy.
The Business Scale-up and Productivity (BSP) program supports high growth, small to medium-sized companies that have been operating in western Canada for at least 2 years and are producing and improving innovative products or services. The business must also have a remarkable revenue growth, typically about 20% year over year to be considered ‘high growth’ and be eligible to apply.
Western Economic Diversification Canada announced over $38 million in interest-free loans for several different projects around Southern Alberta. Over 20K was delegated to the Business Scale-up and Productivity program for support and growth into the economy related to agri-tech, advanced manufacturing, as well as digital and clean technology. ZeroKey is fortunate to be 1 of 10 businesses in the Southern Alberta region to receive funding in the BSP portion.
